New design options with TECEdrainline — for a bathroom with a uniform high-end look

The newly designed shower channels in matt black and matt white extend the extensive modular system from TECEdrainline, in which numerous design covers and grids can be combined with different channel bodies. This means that the HVAC professional now has an even wider range of colours to choose from for creative bathroom designs when talking to customers: whether a subtle, uniform colour scheme or strong contrasts — the shower channel sets stylish accents and fulfils the customer's individual design wishes.

Easy cleaning and flexible installation

When choosing a new shower channel, functional convenience is just as important as an attractive design. The two-component powder coating consists of a primer and powder coating and is particularly scratch and impact resistant. This coating gives the shower channel a flawless surface and also ensures effortless cleaning. The TECEdrainline-Evo shower channel is available in five lengths from 700 to 1200 mm and the TECEdrainline is also available in 1500 mm. This means that the shower channel can be fitted perfectly into any shower recess, even where space is limited.

Always standard-compliant with drainage from TECE

TECE is one of the leading German manufacturers of linear drainage. Compliance with the relevant standards is an essential feature of our performance promise. Thanks to our close cooperation with the standardisation committee, we are always informed about all upcoming changes and can incorporate them into our product development in good time. For you, this means that our shower channels and drains always meet the currently valid standards, so you are always on the safe side. This applies to both DIN EN 1253 – Building drainage systems and DIN 18534 – Sealing of interior rooms.

DIN EN 1253 defines extensive requirements for the product and describes the corresponding test scenarios in detail. It not only formulates requirements for tightness, drainage performance and mechanical strength, but also describes a range of other properties such as self-cleaning capability, prevention of blockages and cleaning options. Conformity is confirmed by type testing by an independent testing institute. Previously, the standard only applied to drains with an odour trap with a minimum of 50 mm of sealing water. In June 2023, parts 6, 7 and 8 were added to this standard. Since then, flat drains with a lower sealing water level have also fallen within its scope. Here, too, all relevant drains in the TECE range meet the requirements of the currently valid regulations.

DIN 18534 regulates the planning and execution of the sealing on the construction site with regard to the processes, in particular the integration into the sealing level. Here, too, product requirements such as the width of adhesive flanges for different load classes are listed. The question of secondary drainage is also regulated in DIN 18534.
