Spectacular communication campaign with our principal bank HypoVereinsbank
Our management team experienced something completely new during a very special photo shoot. Water plays an elementary role in our products and technologies – but being completely submerged for a meeting was certainly a first in TECE's company history.
In August of last year, our Managing Director André Welle met with Justus Tippkötter, customer advisor from our principal bank HypoVereinsbank. This occasion sealed an additional and very special stage in the excellent, trusting cooperation between the bank and the company: TECE's involvement in HypoVereinsbank’s nationwide image campaign.
The campaign is not focussing on the financial institution and its services. Instead it is concentrating on the companies which cooperate successfully with the bank in the areas of digitalisation and internationalisation. Themes were identified and the adverts developed over two joint digital brainstorming sessions between HypoVereinsbank, the advertising agency Kolle Rebbe and our management. The key theme of the campaign was quickly derived from one of the short descriptions of our TECE business model - “water in – water out”.
At this point it was not yet clear that the campaign would dispense with the usual clichés of a conventional bank advertisement. No suits shaking hands here! The aim of the campaign was also to place high value on authenticity. This approach persuaded our management team of Hans-Joachim Sahlmann, André Welle and Dr. Michael Freitag.
The spectacular underwater shooting took place with the renowned photographer and filmmaker Peter Rigaud in a Berlin diving school. Accompanied by experienced divers and equipped with oxygen tanks and lead waistcoats, the unusual production started. The next important element in creating the extensive video and photo material was a shoot at TECE’s headquarters, production and outdoor area in Emsdetten.
HypoVereinsbank is now turning “companies into stars” under the central motif #DasIstMirWichtig (What’s important to me). In addition to prominent placements at Munich, Stuttgart and Münster airports, the adverts appear in selected major German daily newspapers. Another key component of the campaign are content films for digital media in which our management gives insights into the company’s activities and cooperation with the bank.
