Luxury in its most natural form
In the heart of the popular Ukrainian ski resort of Bukovel sits the Hay Boutique Hotel & Spa, a luxury hotel in a class of its own and a tribute to the lush nature of the Carpathian Mountains. The location of the five-star hotel offers an impressive view of the surrounding mountains, making it the perfect base for nature lovers and winter sports enthusiasts. The name Hay Boutique Hotel is derived from the grass of the surrounding meadows, which turns into fragrant hay on hot summer days and is a central design element throughout the hotel concept. The stylishly furnished suites, two fine restaurants and the exclusive wellness area with its uniquely designed pool make the Hay Boutique Hotel & Spa an ideal place where luxury, nature and indulgence combine to create an unforgettable experience. This building was constructed under extremely difficult conditions in the midst of the most adverse wartime conditions. Despite the turbulent and challenging circumstances, the decision was made to realise the plans and create a retreat for relaxation. Even though the unstable situation, a refuge was created that offers guests the opportunity to escape from everyday life and relax.
Each of the 40 rooms is luxuriously furnished and has its own seating area with flat-screen TV and a spacious balcony. An absolute highlight in selected suites: The free-standing ceramic bathtub, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the mountains through the panoramic window. The bathrooms in the suites have also been thought through down to the smallest detail and equipped to a high standard. Sanitary technology from TECE fulfils the highest demands in terms of aesthetics and user comfort, perfectly rounding off the hotel's sophisticated overall concept. TECE toilet modules were used in all bathrooms, which not only score points for their quick and easy installation, but also enable particularly quiet filling of the cistern thanks to the low-noise hydraulic filling valve - perfect for the wellness hotel's suites, where guests seek peace and relaxation. Thanks to the "easy fit" flush plate assembly, the installation of the TECEnow toilet flush plates in elegant matt black was also completed quickly. The extra-flat, rubber-buffered flush buttons ensure comfortable use and at the same time emphasise the understated, purist style of the Hay Boutique Hotel. The dual-flush technology also contributes to economical water consumption.
The TECEdrainline shower channels ensure effective and reliable shower drainage with a minimalist look that blends seamlessly into the interior design. The closed, seamless stainless steel body also makes cleaning much easier. The internal gradient minimises deposits in the channel body. A capillary protection edge also prevents dirt from penetrating under the tiling, while the hair strainer keeps the pipework clean. The two-stage membrane odour trap effectively prevents the evaporation of sealing water and the development of unpleasant odours. The TECEdrainpoint S point drain was also used as a floor drain in the bathrooms. The associated stainless steel grate frame with "plate" tile recess enables the drain to be tiled - TECEdrainpoint S could therefore be perfectly integrated into the floor covering. Like TECEdrainline, TECEdrainpoint S is also particularly easy to clean and has a mechanical odour trap. The TECE drainage solutions thus create the best possible hygienic conditions in the hotel showers, simplify the work of the cleaning staff and thus optimise the entire hotel operation.
The Hay Boutique Hotel impresses with its purist architecture: cubic shapes and an anthracite-coloured façade with mirrored glass fronts give the hotel an ultra-modern, futuristic aesthetic. The minimalist design concept is consistently continued inside: the interior design is characterised by geometric shapes and a restrained ambience in muted natural colours. Furniture and decorative elements made from materials such as stone, solid wood, metals and woven fabrics create a reference to Carpathian nature and are also a modern reinterpretation of local craftsmanship traditions. This approach of creating interiors from the natural and cultural characteristics of the region is based on so-called "terroir design". The crowning highlight and architectural masterpiece is the infinity pool on the top floor of the hotel, which flows from the indoor wellness area into the open air of the roof terrace: huge glass portholes have been set into the floor of the pool and open up to the ceiling of the corridor below on the fifth floor, giving it a mystical, aquarium-like ambience. The Hay Boutique Hotel spa area also offers a spacious sauna area with various saunas and steam baths, including an aroma sauna with the scent of hay.
