A new neighbourhood for Sylt - the List Dune Park
If you want to take a break from everyday life, go for long walks on the beach or hike the mudflats on the popular German island of Sylt, the new Dune park List is the place to be. BIG BAU Projekt und Stadtentwicklung is designing and developing a sustainable residential project on the approximately 18-hectare site of the former naval supply school. The Dune park combines several objectives: First and foremost, new and urgently needed living space is being created in the centre of the island community, which is reserved exclusively for Sylt residents. In addition, 62 high-quality holiday homes with a total of 87 residential units will be built for commercial use. The entire construction process will probably take around three years until the district opens for the residents of List, holiday guests and the entire island of Sylt.
Exclusivity meets nature
After around three years of intensive urban land-use planning, the first building applications were submitted at the end of 2021 - the project is now in full swing. The winners of the architectural competition initiated by BIG-BAU - offices from Kiel and Westerland - have developed two architectural lines with "Deich und Düne", which reinterpret the Sylt holiday home development: All villas, detached and semi-detached houses are thatched and embedded in the modelled dune landscape typical of the island. The modern floor plan, the light-flooded rooms and the exterior appearance are perfectly coordinated and invite you to enjoy an unforgettable living and holiday experience in List on Sylt. The interior concept offers a wide range of design options - from clear, straightforward and elegant to fresh, natural and maritime to warm, cosy and grounded. This means that every buyer can give their home a personal touch.
TECElogo-Ax: Innovative solutions for the dune park
The dune park project favours innovative construction technologies and high-quality products, which is why the expert for energy concepts Torsten Gaul from Gaul-Sanitär und Heizungsbau GmbH relied on building technology from the specialist TECE from Emsdetten. In the pipe systems product segment, he relies on the TECElogo-Ax sliding sleeve technology. Because: reliable even with fast processing - that's what a piping system has to do on the construction site. The O-ring-free axial pressing technology is extremely fault-tolerant where dirt would otherwise tend to collect. Another larger advantage: the condition of the pressing tool hardly plays a role with TECElogo-Ax. The pipe is simply cut to length, pushed into the fitting as far as it will go and then pressed using simple manual or electric pressing tools. The sleeves are fixed to the fitting at the factory.
The one-off acquisition costs make it very cost-efficient compared to conventional pressing systems. In addition, there is almost no need for recurring maintenance on pressing jaws and machines.
